Esports, once seen as a hobby or pastime, has evolved into a platform that not only entertains but also prepares students for the challenges of college and offers them a pathway to secure scholarships. Participation in Esports offers a unique avenue for students to develop the skills and aptitudes necessary for careers in IT, cybersecurity, and various other professional fields. Esports also plays a surprising role in preparing students for military careers. Presenters will discuss Dorchester School District Two's journey into the world of Esports showcasing how Esports has evolved into a valuable educational tool and share our newly designed Esports arenas at each of our high schools. Scholarship opportunities, real-life learning opportunities, and success stories will be highlighted.
