During this session, we will address all things Health Science. There will be a discussion of frequently asked questions, course updates, student certifications, concentrators, completers, and teacher certifications. We will also discuss this year's SLC HOSA results, upcoming conferences, and general updates. Finally, we will go over what the Health Science Educator's Association (HSEA) is and the benefits of being part of this organization.

96 Starting a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Program (CCMA) Program in Health Science

Come discuss alternatives to a CNA certification for Health Science 4 classes. As of 2019, a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) is an industry-recognized credential for Health Science completers. We will focus on how to get a CCMA program established as a clinical course for the Health Science pathway and how to incorporate the EKG Technician Certification to maximize opportunities for students and help them to be Career Ready.

Students are faced with making choices around their overall wellness every day. With EVERFI’s digital health and wellness curriculum, kids are taught that the choices they make and the habits they form now become the foundation for the lives they lead as adults.
