217 Do you C.A.R.E about your students?
Wednesday June 26, 2024 3:30pm - 4:30pm EDT
This presentation will explain how some teachers in today’s society perceive students from different walks of life and ways personal biases may impede the educational process for more students than we want to believe.  You will also learn how to make necessary changes to grow as an educator and become a great teacher.  Finally, you will have access to strategies that will help any educator demonstrate consistency with standard operating procedures, and analyze data to assist with professional growth.  I once heard you must first know your students in order to educate them. That is true, however, I say, you must truly C.A.R.E. about your students in order to educate them and make a positive impact on their lives.

190 STEM VS Athletics Budget Are We Doing Enough?
Thursday June 27, 2024 9:45am - 10:45am EDT
When you compare Athletic Funding to STEM Funding an Athlete is likely to be funded close to 40 more times the amount a STEM Student would be funded. The Question I ask is what can we as a Community do to effect change, the Return on Investment is opening. Average Athletic Careers are 3-5 Years while a Career in STEM can last 40-45 years. We may not pay a 80 dollars a day to watch a Civil Engineer do their Job, but that doesn't mean we should invest any less in our students.
